Elton John On Religion

This is a quote from Sir Elton John a few weeks ago.

"I think religion has always tried to turn hatred toward gay people. Religion promotes the hatred and spite against gays. But there are so many people I know who are gay and love their religion." He said, "From my point of view, I would ban religion completely. Organized religion doesn't seem to work. It turns people into really hateful lemmings and it's not really compassionate."

I agree more with the end of that quote. Instead of preaching love, compassion and understanding. Some churchs preach hate, fear and control. Oh, I left out greed. If you don't believe me about greed, look at all the new churches and the size of them. Some might reach the near million mark in the price tag (not sure but still a large amount of money). How about all that money going to the needy, the sick, the homeless? Stay the fuck out of politics and start doing some good for ALL mankind, not just for yourself. Now, I know that there are a few good churches out there, AND many people, religious or not, who are not hateful.

Dinner

Chris and I went to the Blue Orchid for dinner tonight. A very good Thai restraunt, with nice spicy food. Chris being a pepperhead has to ask for extra spicy and got mild instead. Being polite, we brought it up to our server, who went to the chef. Sadly that achieved very little (they offered to dump on some more peppercorns), but our server went and got the manager on his own and Chris got a new dinner that was more to his liking. Very hot and spicy. Too hot and spicy for me or most normal people, but it did have a wonderful flavour. We also enjoyed the fact that the restraunt is more sophisitcated or adult, NOT one screaming lil brat was in sight!! See, it is possible to hire a baby sitter and have comon sense and respect for other diners.

Hollween

Just posting some hollween pic's. Sorry one is sideways but I am to lazy to fix it. I made the coffin my self and set up the fog machine so the fog came through the skeletons ribs. Most kids thought it was cool but liked the dog better.

More later as I get more time and figure out the blog set up.
